Volunteer with Pride 2013 - it can't happen without you

Pride need a lot of volunteers to help make the day a huge success. Volunteering is great fun and gives you the best seat in the house. Pride has already had a very successful volunteer recruitment evening on Saturday 9th March when they 'lovebombed' Soho. They recruited 100 volunteers recruited and raised nearly £1200!  Next they're running another Soho fundraiser on Thursday 28th, in time for Easter.

Take a look at the video below for a taster of the fun you can have, and if you're interested, read on for more information!

Register online to volunteer with Pride in London and the team there will keep you in touch with all the ways to get involved with Pride in London either on the big day, Saturday 29 June, or before.

They're looking for people to join their Resident & Business Liaison team right now. They are the frontline team building strong relationships with people across the event footprint.

Volunteers on Pride Day steward either the parade route, Trafalgar square or Soho. Their main functions are to provide information, assist the paid security stewards & the Met with crowd management and relay important information about the progress of the event to the event liaison team.

Volunteers are split into two shifts for the day itself, the majority of volunteers bring active from 9am - 5.30pm. All volunteers are expected to have attended one training session in advance of the day, and we shall also be running training sessions on the morning of Pride Day in case volunteers have been unable to attend the ones in advance.

In all, volunteers are the face of Pride in London – by far they have the most interaction with the public and are ultimately what makes Pride in the Capital unique.

There are a range of volunteer roles on offer to cater for a range of experiences: from Steward roles (ideal for those who have never been to a Pride before) up to Deputy Area Manager roles (which involves running a sizeable part of the event footprint on the day!). Your role will be allocated by our dedicated volunteer team around a month before Pride Day.

So please considering registering now to become part of one of Europe's largest volunteer-led events. London LGBT+ Community Pride are committed to ensuring every volunteer has an enjoyable experience and for all those who complete their volunteer assignments we offer some great benefits - all to say "thank you" for helping make Pride in London a success!
