SHE for Easter - sexy and funny & a venue TAKEOVER...

The sun has been shining and we love it. SHE has been creating a variety of summery cocktails to get everyone in the mood for the warm months ahead. From frozen daiquiris to mojito’s, their tasty and fresh cocktails are the talk of the town.

Entertainment, entertainment with comedy and Burlesque!
As promised SHE continues to work with a variety of lesbian & bisexual events & groups and this month they are ecstatic to have the legendary ‘Short & Girlie Show’ perform. The improvisation comedy group will come all the way from Brighton to do a very special show at SHE on Sunday 13 April.

SHE is also getting sexy with a bit of burlesque. On Tuesday 1 April, The Supernova Bombshells bring you an experience like no other. Classy burlesque will be performed with hints of song, dance and yes…MAGIC! Avoid early to get a good seat!
Venue takeover and a 3am license on Saturday 19 April!
April brings us the weekend everyone counts down to. Easter Bank Holiday! With an amazing line up of DJ’s over this weekend SHE are buzzing to reveal that the Saturday 19th April they will be open till 3am and have the whole of the venue - 3 floors! Definitely one for the calendar.

Thursday 3 April SHE has the super talented Chloe Giacometti + support from Laura Poppitt and the Thursday 17 April Chick Habit hosts See Emily Plays (support from Hannah Barton)… she is even bringing a full piano with her so this will be something special.
Music maestro - a bit about the DJs
SHE would like to introduce some new faces to April’s DJ roster too. The gorgeous and up and coming DJ Shaka Lish, Aussie dance queen DJ Jaynee and DJ Poppy L Kav who has just returned from working on material in New York.

These girls join SHE's resident DJ’s, Hazel Soze, Kerol Garcia, Miss Annik & Bon Bonnie.

Planet London caught up with Lara in the Mint VIP area overlooking the exhibitor hall and main stage shortly before she performed to the Big Gay Lifestyle Show visitors.

Cool and collected as ever, Lara talked to Planet London about L-Talent, performing and what she likes about living the gay lifestyle.

We congratulated Lara on her excellent performance in the L-Talent finals earlier this year. She commented that there had been a really high level of talent and it was great to have a platform to promote lesbian talent and that in particular, the Brighton heat had been a great night with a good atmosphere and an appreciative audience - some 400 lesbians.

Lara, performing in the Funny Women slot, said it was really exciting to have the opportunity to perform as a funny, gay woman.

She thinks that events like the Big Gay Lifestyle Show are important as they are a chance to spend the day hanging out with lots of gay people. When we asked Lara what her favourite aspect of the gay lifestyle was, she quickly responded 'shagging women'. Enough said!

There are busy times ahead for Lara following her performance at the Big Gay Lifestyle Show, she is being whisked away to Brighton to headline at the Pavillion Theatre; there will be more Funny Women gigs and she is writing music in preparation for a tour in early 2012.
