Cycling

Bring your bike to L Fest! I'm training for a charity ride to Paris and went cycling with Breeze Network getting more women to into cycling. There will now be two workshops, one 10 mile and one up to 20 miles. You don't need to be a pro, just join in this session and get out on your bike in the countryside.

Solo Club

Planet London & Pink Sofa are sponsoring the solo club, Planet Central. There is a solo camping area and then Planet Central will have games, meet ups, brunch, speed dating and much more. So don't worry about coming on your own, as one L Fester said in 2011, you can come on your own and go home with 50 new friends!

Fancy Dress

This year's fancy dress theme for Saturday night is 'Grease is the Word'. Get your T Birds or Pink Ladies jacket and learn the hand jive! Later at midnight on Saturday is WOW night: Women Onesies & Wine around the camp fire! So don't forget your onesie and bottle of wine, we will find the women!

Workshops

Have you seen all of the workshops on offer this year? We have over 25 workshops programmed by SpringOut and such a wide range of activities. Have a look at our website HERE and see what you want to do: when was the last time you tried something for the first time? All workshops, activities, cinema, music and arts are ALL included in your ticket price.

Dog Show

Yes this year I have given into the repeated requests and we WILL have a Dog show! Sunday morning will see you parade with your furry friend and join in the obstacle course or the most like their owner competition! Doggie Day Care will be on trial for 2013, with somewhere to leave your dog whilst you part take in a workshop or go to the cinema.

Families

Have you seen the awesome line up for children at L Fest? We have teamed up with Bibsy's Bananas to offer children's workshops, entertainment and even additional baby sitting services! So bring your family or tell your friends with children about this. Whats more children U.16 are FREE! So free entertainment for a whole weekend! See all information HERE

Planet London at L Fest

Yes, we'll be there!

Planet London will be part of the team co-ordinated by Sherbs looking after the LFest Solos Club (#LFestUnicorns) to make sure all those attending LFest on their own are not alone for long.

Alongside a very warm and welcoming space where you can hang out, chill out on one of our inflatable chairs, chat with our friendly volunteers and keep abreast of the schedule, it's also a chance to meet up with other Solos who want to see the same Acts as you or attend the same workshops and events. Awesome!

We're planning a schedule of activities that will help us all get to know each other - a bucks fizz breakfast on the Saturday, games to play, and contests (watch this space for more detail). Pink Sofa will be running dating events as well.

There'll be a big message board where you can organise a meet up for a particular act, or let a particular lady know that you've spotted her and wouldn't mind spotting her again.

We'll also have the Planet London traffic light badges available for so you can meet women looking for the same thing as you.

We're also welcoming suggestions. If there's something you specifically want to take part in, let us know in the comments below!

*** UPDATE
The kind ladies at Wow Women are offering this sexy t-shirt as one of the prizes in the prize draw that will be taking place in Planet Central.

Pink Sofa Ball - Cancelled as of 23 May

Pink Sofa BallBreast Cancer Care
Three of the top UK lesbian brands have joined forces to raise money for Breast Cancer Care with a luxury 5 star May Ball at the Radisson Hotel, Bloomsbury Street, London on Saturday May 26th.
pinksofa.com, currently g3s ‘Dating Site of the Year 2012’ and Elaine McKenzie’s Glass Bar and popular lesbian night Flaunt, decided there wasn’t enough going on in terms of a glitzy night out and are thrilled to also be raising funds for a charity that does so much for thousands of women each year.
The ball isn’t selling tickets in the traditional way. They are looking for a ‘donation’ to Breast Cancer Care – a minimum of £55 of which 20% will go straight to the charity. The remainder will buy a delicious 3 course meal in 5 star surroundings and some fabulous entertainment – including the ‘Celebrity Bra Auction’ – bras donated and signed from a variety of ‘dykons’ will be up for auction.
Obviously the hope is that women will donate more than £55 and they will raise plenty of funds. For donations and to reserve your place go to: http://stretchcreative.com.au/clients/pinksofa/may-ball-4/page/index.html
For more information:
  • Jane Hunt 07818 454 260 (pinksofa.com)
  • Elaine McKenzie 0756 436 5497 (Glass Bar and Flaunt)
  • Helen Cameron 0114 263 6481 (Breast Cancer Care)
